Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026
This policy explains how Mikaela McElligott, doing business as Mik Mac and The MACRA Method (“Mik Mac,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles health-related information shared in connection with coaching applications and services.
Information we collect
Depending on what you choose to provide, this may include:
- fitness goals, training history, exercise routines, availability, equipment access, and performance;
- injuries, physical limitations, symptoms, restrictions, or exercise-clearance information;
- nutrition goals, eating patterns, preferences, or restrictions;
- sleep, stress, energy, soreness, and recovery information;
- weight, height, measurements, and other progress information; and
- other information you choose to share that may reveal something about your health or physical condition.
How we use it
We use this information to review coaching applications, assess whether coaching may be a fit, onboard clients, provide and adjust training and general nutrition guidance, review progress and recovery, communicate with you, and administer coaching records and services.
Where it comes from
We collect this information primarily from you through applications, onboarding, check-ins, messages, progress updates, and other communications. We may create coaching notes or summaries from information you provide.
How it may be shared
When needed for the purposes above, relevant information may be handled by service-provider categories such as:
- online form and intake services;
- cloud spreadsheet and information-storage services;
- workflow automation and data-transfer services; and
- client-record, collaboration, and coaching-administration services.
The information involved depends on what you provide and the service being performed. These providers support application review and coaching administration. We may also disclose information when required by law or when otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to ask what health-related information we hold, request access or deletion, and withdraw consent for future collection or sharing where consent is the basis for that activity.
To make a request, email mikmacmania@gmail.com with the subject “Consumer Health Data Request.” Include enough information for us to reasonably verify your identity. You do not need to create an account to make a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If a request is denied, you may reply to ask us to review that decision.
Consent and withdrawal
Where consent is required, we will ask for it before the relevant collection or sharing. You may withdraw consent for future collection or sharing by emailing mikmacmania@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not undo activity that occurred before your request and may affect our ability to provide coaching that depends on the information.
Retention and safeguards
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to review applications, provide and administer coaching, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We limit access to people and service providers who need the information for those purposes, and delete it when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. If we materially change the categories of health-related information we collect or the purposes for which we use or share it, we will update this policy and obtain any additional consent required by law before the change takes effect.
